Introduction: Based out of both New York and Nashville, Peter Boris Drum Studios has been in business for 22+ years. PBDS offers private drumset instruction for all levels ranging from beginner to advanced. Students are trained to play drumset in ALL different styles of the commercial music industry, while maintaining a strong foundation in reading music, improvisation, and ensemble experience.
Peter Boris, the founder of the company began the school in Upstate NY and over time became one of the leading drums schools in the region with 40+ private students a week. Peter began his professional music career when he left home to tour the world at 18 years old. Having performed on 4 worldwide USO Tours for our nations servicemen & women, and backing up major artists, the amount of experience he brings to teaching drum lessons is invaluable.
Michael Boris (Peter's son) is a working full-time drummer and artist in Nashville. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from Belmont University in 2011 with a Bachelors of Music Degree in Commercial Music Percussion with a Music Business Emphasis.
Michael currently tours the nation opening up for legendary country artists such as Blake Shelton, Tim McGraw, Zac Brown Band, Jake Owen, Lady Antebellum, Big & Rich and many others.
Together, both Peter and Michael Boris make an unstoppable team in educating students about the Percussive Arts.
