Introduction: As a former English Teacher and writer, I know the value of clear communication. For over twenty-five years I have been teaching writing and writing myself -- always trying to help people learn to communicate an idea, a feeling, or an experience. That's my goal as a writer - to communicate with the reader by paying careful attention to language and how it's used. I love the act of writing clear, convincing, eye-popping, ear-catching sentences that stir the reader like a cold drink on a warm summer afternoon. I am prompt and reliable. I like to talk through a job with a client so that the two of us are very clear on all aspects of the proposal. When I sit down at the computer to build a sentence, a paragraph, a story, I feel like I am starting a new adventure. Writing is indeed a journey - a journey of words and imagination. The very act of writing excites me. I love ordering words on the page to help them spin and twirl and dance across the lines. I love the sounds of words mingling with each other like kids on a lunch line in the school cafeteria. The right words in the right places can transform the world.
