It seems as though there is a disconnect between the sales rep, the company, and the installers. The salesman that came out to the house talked about how great the product was and the process of installation. We were given an installation window of 2-4 weeks. I called after not hearing from the company and was told we were on the docket for a certain week. That week came and went, and I received a call, saying they had had a cancellation and could "fit me in". How nice. I do like the idea of the product and think that it will work well, but am unhappy with the up-sale of products that were not necessary. When the workers showed up at the house they explained that certain elements were not necessary and would not work. The salesman also talked about how the gutters would be thoroughly cleaned, all of the joints would be cemented and inspected in a careful process. Then the roof would be pulled back and the leaf guard would be installed into the gutters. From what I observed, the gutters were very quickly cleaned and the product was slapped on. Thats not to say anything about the installers, I think they did a good job based on the circumstances they are given. They did however show up two and a half hours after the two hour window. Once they did show up, they realized they did not have all of their equipment left, and returned two hours later. When they did show up, the back of their truck was in shambles, looking like a pile of junk rather than a company that has been doing this for 30 years. Very unprofessional. The ladder they used, which is a key component of the job had a broken foot. The workers came across a hornets nest. Now, being in the business of working on roofs you may come across such things. Were they prepared? No. I had to go out and buy hornet and wasp killer for them to use. This is something they should be supplied with. I gave them the can in case they came across some in future jobs. Also, come to find out, they needed to crawl all over the roof to reach the top dormer to install that leaf guard. You would think that if they had to leave to go get something the first time, they would have thought to get a taller ladder or a different truck. This is very unsafe. Although there was a small discount given for the materials we did not use, I still feel that I grossly overpaid to have half of my house done. Almost $1,000 for half of my house. That comes out to almost $25/ft. I am very unhappy and will not be using this company EVER again.Oct 3, 2017VerifiedScott F.'s reply
Hi Sarah, Im soo sorry to hear that you were not pleased with our performance as we strive on a daily basis to please our customers and have made that a number one priority over the past 15 years. We actually did it for you too but it backfired on us. You see, the crews vehicle had an issue with the water pump on the morning of your appointment and instead of cancelling, we decided to try to complete your installation using a spare truck as not to inconvenience you by having to come another day. In doing so the truck that is equipped with all tools and equipment needed was left behind as the installers did the best they could. The cost of all premium gutter protection systems are approximately $25.00 per/ft across the board and across the state. We never intended to mislead you and apologize if we did but we did leave a proposal behind and gave you plenty of time to think about your decision. I will follow up my response to you with a phone call. Thank you again, Scott
