Vicki came to our home for a newborn/family session. She was efficient, guided us on how you sit (which we preferred), and captured many wonderful photos! Vicki is also creative with various photo products that she can assist with getting made if desired. She is kind and clearly enjoys what she does!

Vicki was AMAZING from start to finish for my daughter’s senior photos! She was quick to respond to initial inquiry, set up introductory phone call to walk through options, sent email follow ups with links to clear pricing and package options as well as links to her photo galleries so we could discuss options for locations. She was great at getting us on schedule quickly Vicki wanted to get to know our daughter before her pictures thru an email survey, and she took time to understand what shots/backgrounds we wanted to capture, and then suggested locations. She offered to preview outfits if needed and had great suggestions in an email for what to wear. Photo shoot day….Vicki has such a calm, poised energy and she was efficient and relaxed at the same time. Our daughter was nervous and does not like being in the spotlight, and Vicki’s calm manner and clear instructions really brought out her true smile. Our daughter left saying the whole experience was fun! I was allowed (encouraged) to take candid shots or even video of the photo shoot and was able to capture some fun behind the scene pictures to enhance our memory of the day. Communication post photo shoot – Vicki told us when to expect the “sneak peak” and premier and was on time delivering both! The premier day was so fun (we opted for video chat d/t COVID) but the photos Vicki captured were breath taking. We are so excited to finish our selection process, and have the happy trouble of trying to narrow down so many great shots. I HIGHLY recommend Vicki Sands – she was a pleasure to work with from start to finish, excellent communicator and talented photographer. Thank you! Karyn W.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I engage in a brief interview with my clients to get to know them a little bit better and explore what type of portraits they desire. The more I know about a person or their family, the better I can capture the spirit of their personality and deliver what they want.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I've always had a camera in hand shooting family and friends and loving it. … but professionally I was dedicated to Corporate America for many years in executive marketing/retail/customer experience roles. Now I have redirected my energies into my passion of photography and am relishing in the creative outlet I now have with portrait photography and connecting with remarkable people and sharing special moments in their lives.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I have worked with families, couples, seniors, teens, tweens, little ones and newborns. I am always open to exploring new avenues as well.
