Bloodrush Films produced the promotional video trailer for my recently-released book. I was first attracted to Bloodrush because the clips on the website struck me as so vibrant and current, the coolest of any New Orleans production company. When I contacted owner/director John Lavin, his knowledge of the field, easygoing manner, and professionalism confirmed my impulse that I wanted his company to create the trailer. The experience exceeded my expectations: the company contained costs, offered creative insights, and completed the project BEFORE their own deadlines! I was kept in the loop every step of the way. The final video is fantastic and blew up on social media! Here's the best part: a critic wrote a review claiming that our video "really raises the bar for poetry book trailers.” I'm not done. And it was selected for an international festival of book film.

I’ve now worked with John and Bloodrush Films on several projects, including multiple tourism videos and my own wedding video, and I cannot recommend him highly enough. In every experience, John has gone above and beyond in capturing beautiful, thoughtful, memorable footage of the day. He is also incredibly skilled in the editing bay, turning around inventive, fun, and standout finished videos quickly and easily. He always gets more than enough amazing footage and is willing and able to incorporate any changes or additions you might want to make to the videos. He’s truly a filmmaker, not just a shooter/editor, he has a point of view and creates videos that are really special and capture singular, once-in-a-lifetime experiences. Plus, he’s a really great guy that is fun to spend the day with. I would recommend John and Bloodrush Films without hesitation!

I've worked with Bloodrush Films in the past as a production company sound engineer on a promotional video.
The director, John Lavin, is a consummate professional--cool, wildly creative, efficient and confident. The finished product had a distinctively original, exciting and engaging look and feel. From what I've seen of Bloodrush Films' web based video content (including music videos, online marketing and branded content videos), my experience working with them and seeing the superior final product is typical of what you also can expect if you work with them.
