I published the first celebrity transformation look-alike makeup book titled, "Double Take The Art of the Celebrity Transformation" with Harper Collins. Because I am also a photographer, I know exactly how much makeup to apply to read for the camera and still keep it as natural for one on one closeups. My special ability also allows me to design the best and latest makeup looks for my clients, bringing out their own unique star quality. My makeup artistry has been showcased on Entertainment Tonight, Access Hollywood, and Live with Kelly and Michael, to name a few. My work has been on the cover of the Rolling Stone and celebrated with a six-page spread in Marie Claire. I was hailed a MAKEUP GENIUS by Glamour Magazine. Presently I impersonate 40 celebrities as well as do makeup... I have included my postcard so you can see my make up skills have no boundaries and I can do any style from the a natural almost bare faced style to extremely glam, all the while looking beautifully blended and not over done...When I work with a client I am a great listener and strive to give them the make up look they desire. I apply the make up, show you in a mirror and don't stop till you are perfectly satisfied!!! I also take pictures of your completed look so you can see how it will look in your selfies or professional photos. I have also been blessed to have worked on many celebrities in my 20 year career. I love the moment I have finished a face and feel the joy I bring my clients once they see how much I can enhance their natural beauty or glamorize them with celebrity-style makeup with my soft and beautifully blended techniques.

There are not enough words to describe Devon; He is just an awesome professional makeup artist and photographer. From the moment he walked in to the final end result I had tremendous and extraordinary experience. I would give him more than 5 star services. I went on a few makeup trials with many other people on thumbtack before I found Devon; unfortunately, they were a disaster experiences. But when Devon did my trial he did beyond great professional job, he asked me the right questions of what I am looking for and I gave him a picture of a makeup idea and colors I had in mind. The makeup trial he did on me came out perfect! He is such an artist he can see your face features, symmetry and work with your face features to bring out the best for both your physical look in person and photos. I can't thank him enough; he made me feel like a diva and celebrity! I wish I have found him long time ago. I can't wait till he do my make up for my bridal shower and wedding day, My mom loves it so much that she and my sister want him to do their make up as well for my events and future events as well. Devon is amazing!! Words cannot explain how much I appreciate him. I hired him to do a trial for my Bridal shower 6/2017. He was able to do the bridal party and my makeup as well. He did such an awesome job so I hired him for my wedding 7/2017. He was fun and energetic. He was loved by everyone! He made me look like a real princess and the bridal party too. The flower girls were so happy to get their makeup done as well. He's a true professional and I mean that from the bottom of my heart. I actually cried right before the ceremony and my makeup did not even run. He's the man for the job. I did not have to tell him what I wanted to look like. Devon was fabulous! I hired him to do makeup for myself, my bridal party and my mom and aunts for my wedding day. I don't typically wear makeup so I wanted something natural looking. I can honestly say I loved, loved, loved my makeup! I have never felt prettier! He was punctual and a pleasure to work with! I WILL be using him again for makeup! What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When working with a new client I ask what type of makeup they like and how much they typically wear. Then I design a look I feel will work for their particular event and lifestyle if they are taking one of my tutorials.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been doing make up in NYC for over 20 years now as well as photography and have been highly successful. As well, I published the first celebrity look-alike book ever done for Harper Collins titled Double Take. During that process I perfected so many incredible tricks that I can use to enhance an everyday face from a natural clean look to all out glamour with a soft blending and glowing radiance!
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I always loved beauty and glamour. When I was 13 I started to draw magazine covers and from that learned how to blend and match colors. Then moved to New York at 21 and have been working professionally as a make up artist and/or photographer ever since.
