Introduction: Praised for her “powerful command and nuanced facility”, Violetta Maria Norrie is a harpist of diverse range and ability. She began playing the harp at the age of 6, after falling in love with the instrument at a Renaissance Faire. Since then she has performed orchestral, solo, and chamber music at venues such as Carnegie Hall, Merkin Recital Hall and Symphony Space. She performs as a member of many ensembles including the Park Avenue Chamber Symphony and Opera Theatre of Montclair. Violetta has been featured on The Today Show with Megyn Kelly and Kathy Lee, MTV's Silent Library, and the Harmony ad campaign for Emirates Airlines. She is equally comfortable performing wedding ceremonies in church, parties in private homes, and has also played in-house corporate events.
Violetta maintains a private teaching studio in NYC where she teaches out of her apartment or travels to her students homes. She loves to teach students of all ages and levels.

Ms. Violetta Norrie is a professional musician. She plays the Harp which is a breathtaking and beautiful eye catching instrument with much precision and expression. Ms. Norrie showed up to my wedding event and Wowed the guest with her class, grace, and elegance. She melted their hearts when she played each selection on her Harp superbly and my event was quoted by my guests to be " a knock out and an Exquisite affair", along with so many more positive comments. Her business etiquette was on point! She was absolutely reliable which put my mind totally at ease. Ms. Norrie's commitment to perform at my event several months before was a depiction of her impeccable ability to be totally reliable. I had the pleasure of having Violetta play at my wedding, just writing this review is bringing me to tears. To say she was AMAZING is truly the understatement of the century. She played everything from Ava Marie to the theme from the Bad News Bears. My dream was to have a harpist at my wedding, and Violetta truly made all my dreams come true!! Bravo!!
