- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My rate is $78.00/hour for an individual student. A standard lesson period runs for 90 minutes.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Please send me a brief description of yourself, your interest in sewing and fashion design and what you would like to accomplish in our work together. Note: I am located in New York City. I will work with you remotely, but please indicate this in your initial outreach.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a bachelors degree in Textiles, Clothing, and Design and a masters degree in fine arts. I have been sewing since age 9 and have been a fashion design educator for all ages of students since 2004. I am also the founder and executive director of The Children's Institute of Fashion Arts, a non-profit organization teaching sewing and design to children. We offer afterschool programs and workshops as well as in-home lessons. Please contact me if you would like a program for children.
