Greetings, I'm a freelance audio engineer/producer/multi-instrumentalist, with experience in most facets of production (composition, performance, producing, recording, editing, mixing, mastering) I have experience running my own project studios as well as participating in shared studio situations. And a good amount of experience with midi and electronic instrument, & effects programing,as well as acoustic instrument / band recording within a wide range of music styles. I really enjoy the challenge of working with non traditional music and instruments, room acoustics,& various microphone combinations. Additionally,I have an extensive amount of live sound engineer experience. I feel that it's informed & enhanced my abilities in my recording work as far as consideration of how room acoustics relate to various voices and instruments. And matching instrument frequency ranges to characteristics of available microphones. I find that getting the best performance from a musician is an art in itself that requires a positive attitude, patience, optimism & honesty.I continue to work at developing these qualities in myself. Please contact me if you would like a resume or any additional info.

Recording Engineer Gregory Kage has 2 of the best ears in the music industry! He has recorded several of my projects, both live performance and tracks. He works efficiently in the studio, is sensitive to and respectful of songwriters and musicians, and is brilliant at mixing and mastering. -J.A.L., Brooklyn, NY

Whenever my 6 piece unit plays @ Goddard, It never ceases to amaze me how well the recordings sound. The raw mix is strong enough to be played as a standalone! The initial capture is balanced that well!!!!

Gregory was friendly and professional through the entire process, from set-up to final mix/mastering. A pleasure to work with him.

Brother Gregory is technically savvy, but what strikes me most about him is that he leads with his heart and spirit. You can tell that not only is he a musician's musician (which is a great quality for a tech person), but he really delves into the creative process in a collaborative way that allows the best of the performers to come to the fore. We are in touch with him now about another upcoming project. That's the kind of loyalty his excellence engenders.
