Introduction: I was raised with the work ethic to do what it takes to get it done until its done right and I am not afraid to get my hands dirty! I also possess a strong ability to accurately conceptualize each client’s needs, both aesthetically and from a functional perspective, while maintaining a focus on budget & timeline. I am extremely detail oriented while creatively planning accurate floor plans, color scheme, selecting custom furniture & accessories, from concept to installation. I have been passionate about Interior Design & Furniture for as long as I can remember and taking the risk to start my own business was the best decision I've ever made, professionally. I strive to find a graceful juxtaposition of relaxed modernism in clean contemporary spaces, but I do have a warm, spirited edge. I pride myself on my ability to really listen what the client wants. And I see beauty in almost everything which makes me flexible when working with clients who have sentimental pieces that need to be worked into unique floor plans. The bottom line is that I work really hard to create comfortable, livable spaces that simply make my clients happy!

I worked with Kristen when I was downsizing from a house to a NYC apartment. She was an absolute pleasure to work with! She listened to what was a priority to me and designed the most tranquil living space! Her creativity and attention to details...could not have done this without her! Kristin has a keen eye for interiors and is highly organized. She sorted my closet out in a few hours which I was dreading to do. Hence, hiring her. While there I showed her my 4 year old son's room. It needed an update. She said she had a few ideas and within a day or so she emailed inspiration mood boards!! I hired her to organized my closet and from there she ended up decorating my son's room. Kristin utilized the furniture and moved a few things around and added her special touches with new items. The end result was amazing!!

I am so exceptionally thrilled with the outcome of my living room and the experience using Kristin for support. The couch, wall paint, carpet and tv stand were exactly what I articulated and within budget. The couch arrived yesterday and other elements soon to deliver. Everything was timed perfectly as well around my busy work/travel schedule. Will absolutely use her for Bedroom next!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I have an hourly rate but am also happy to accommodate day or flat rate fees dependent on the scope of each project.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
My process is generally to schedule a 1 hour consultation/ walk through to discuss the clients overall vision, priorities and timeline. At that time I take photographs and measure the spaces that need designing. I then send the client a proposal to include any questions I have after the initial meeting, along with a detailed contract to include inspirational images and or product, budget and realistic timeline for approval.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I worked for a high end custom furniture retailer that catered to New Yorks Top 50 Interior Designers & Architects which quickly exposed me to a different aspect of project management a very fast paced industry. I worked previously in the Fashion Industry as a Merchandiser so I have always been on the creative side professionally with management positions that required me to be on calendar & within budget.
