Mike is a well meaning guy but ended up breaking very expensive glass because he did not clear the work environment to be safe. He claims me (the client) should have cleared the space for him. He never asked me to clear the space. For argument's sake, even if he did, and I didn't do it, as a registered professional he should have refused to begin the work knowing the risks. In the end, I am left with monetary damages (not to mention sentimental damage since these were my wedding glasses) that he refuses to compensate me for. Be warned!Feb 15, 2018VerifiedMichael D.'s reply
The cabinets were falling off the wall when I got there. Before I did any work on them, I asked her to please empty the cabinets before I started , especially the glass. When I came in next day they were still in the cabinet. She said it was my job to move them. So I reached up and pulled 2 glasses out and the shelf collapsed. The glasses fell out. I warned her and asked her. I had no part in these breaking. I continued to work for her for several weeks. She never paid me for 15 hours of work I did at the end finishing the job. A similar thing happened with her closet doors.she refused to move her personal things .

- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?Over the last 5 years I have worked extensively in the contracting business. This was my primary source of income.
