Introduction: Marc “Merc” Sorrillo is a songwriter/producer/engineer who lives and works in Harlem, NYC. He has over a hundred published songs to his name working as a performing artist and founder of the groups All Natural Lemon & Lime Flavors, MRC Riddims, Ifwhen and Merc Yes. Marc has spent over 20 years releasing internationally distributed music while touring throughout North America, Europe and Asia. He has written and produced musical content for television stations such as AMC, Lifetime, WE and WPIX, most recently securing musical placements with Red Bull and Ubisoft, as well as scoring several independent film projects. Aside from creating media content, Marc is an active member of the NYC musical community working with artists young and old as a producer/engineer at his Harlem studio as well as writing, performing and DJing.
....my life has revolved around this since the age of 12. I had my first studio in my bedroom at 15 and I couldn't be happier to be in a "real" studio with top gear and working with real artists.
I love what I do and getting inside the hearts of others on their individual unique paths, whether its a first timer who's never been in a studio before, working on the record that could put them over the top, or being an extension of a film/video project. Nothing inspires me more in life than music.

I had the pleasure recently of working on the sound design and soundtrack for my newest short film, "Going Up, Down South" at Uptown Mixers under the supervision and direction of one, Marc Sorrillo. I must say the facility was well equipped and functioned more than adequately to create a professional soundtrack and design work that I required for my work.
I was pleased with every aspect of the studio: the physical space (very cozy), conditions (professional!) as well as the knowledge and unique creativity of the engineer, Marc Sorrillo.
I really enjoyed the ease and comfortability of the space and it's state of the art eclectic, pro-equipment; everything a creative individual could want in a professional recording studio.
I can honestly say, I'm eagerly looking forward to hiring the same engineer and studio for my first and forthcoming feature film; I can't wait!

I'ma singer/songwriter and recently worked with Marc on an upcoming EP. Marc is extremely professional and was very diplomatic in respecting my creative control while offering many ideas throughout the project. I was so pleased with his work that I ended up having Marc completely "produce" 2 out of the 5 tracks; which really to a whole new level.
By the end of our first session it felt like we were a team, as though he were part of my band. I can't believe how amazing everything came out and I highly doubt I would be as happy with the result had I worked with someone else. He really helped bring out the best in my music and I can't praise his work enough!

Marc has tutored my daughter piano for the last 11 years. He has been the most kind, patient teacher and an amazing mentor. He has broadened her knowledge of music and exposed her to many genres .I would recommend Marc without any reservation.

Marc has been teaching my daughters piano and guitar for 15 years. During that time he not only taught them how to play instruments, but also inspired their love of music. They talk about favorite artists and share playlists. My older daughter is now in college and looks forward to continuing her lessons with Marc when she's home for vacations. Marc is a great teacher for kids (and adults) of all ages.

Marc is a superb talent. His work is always on point and perfectly reflects the tone I am going for in my web projects. He has an innate sense for music, sound, and rhythim that is refreshing and rare.
