Introduction: I specialize in teaching all sections of the SAT and ACT and have tutored for over ten years. Shortly after graduating from Columbia University, I pursued a dream of mine to teach overseas and moved to Beijing, China and taught at various test prep academies for several years. There, I gained experience at one of the top test prep academies, teaching large classes with upwards to fifty students, at smaller, more boutique-style academies, teaching small classes with four to twelve students, and in private 1-on-1 sessions, teaching students of all levels from non-native English speakers to expat children attending competitive international high schools. Upon returning to NYC, I've continued to strictly focus on SAT and ACT and have helped students in mostly a 1-on-1 format, which I believe is the fastest and most effective way to help students achieve their score goals. What I love about tutoring, particularly in a 1-on-1 setting, is taking a first-hand part in a student's growth. Every student has his/her own strengths, weaknesses, learning style, initial level, and score goals, and thus, every student's path is unique. I enjoy discovering what works for students and pushing them to reach their full potential.
