As a relatively inexperienced newcomer to the world of reiki, I was a little nervous before my first session with GEM Healing and Wellness. But I had no reason to be. Genevieve was such a light and calming presence from the moment she entered the room. Her warm and friendly personality instantly put me at ease. She was sensitive to the fact that I was starting the session from a very distressed emotional place, and understood the need to redirect that energy immediately. She discussed the process and outlined steps she was taking before, during, and after the session, always making sure that I was aware of what was going on, and that I was comfortable. She created such a positive, personal, and restorative experience for me, and I left the session feeling like a huge weight had been lifted from my shoulders. For anyone hoping to become further acquainted with reiki, but may be intimidated like I was, I cannot recommend Genevieve enough!

My first experience working with Genevieve was for a reiki session. I did not have any expectations as I had never done Reiki before. I have to say it was a pretty intense spiritual experience. I was definitely not expecting that. I know it's primarily for healing, but as someone who is extremely sensitive to energy I felt strange things happening in my body, heat in my eyes (I have vision issues) and strong emotions over some of my chakras. Genevieve is an extremely talented Reiki healer. She is the real deal and I highly recommend her. I decided to start working with Genevieve as a coach because I needed clarity and direction in my career. She was extremely helpful in guiding me to focus on what I needed to get done, and held me accountable to do so. I accomplished far more in the time that I worked with Genevieve than I ever would have on my own. An investment well spent. Thank you Genevieve!

First off GEM has an amazing and welcoming energy. I had two great sessions with GEM Healing and wellness. Both times I felt a significant difference in myself after the session. I felt at ease, felt like there was something lifted from me, felt lighter, felt cleansed in a sense. She's super professional, intuitive,honest and caring. She has the gift of a healer. I highly recommend her. A session with her is definitely worth it .

Genevieve helped me get out of a pretty dark part of my life, and I am forever grateful to her. Due to emotional trauma from a past relationship, I felt like my heart was in a knot. It didn't take her long to diagnose the issue, and I immediately felt an emotional release during our session. Her knowledge of Reiki is comforting (especially for individuals who do not know much about the healig ritual), and she is able to relate to her clients on a personal level. I have been forever changed because of her services, and I recommend her highly.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing for Reiki Healing and Life Coaching is based on an hour session. I also have packets that you can purchase. Feel free to message me to ask about those prices!
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When a new client comes to me, I like to spend a couple minutes chatting and getting acquainted. I typically ask why you have decided to seek out Reiki Healing for yourself. Then I congratulate you for choosing to take care of yourself and choosing healing! Self care is very important! During the session I will take you through a small meditation to help you arrive and get present. I use gentle touch and occasional breathing techniques to help clear energy or trauma that may be stored in your body or in your aura, as well as create a soothing, relaxing environment. If you are not comfortable with gentle touch, that is not a problem! I can also heal using my hands 2-3 inches away from your body.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a Reiki Master as well as a Medical Reiki Master (TM) and Life Coach. I got all of my Reiki certifications from The International Reiki Center in New York City. A year after completing my Reiki Master Certification I received my Medical Reiki Master (TM) certification from Raven Keyes in New York City. That specific certification makes me certified to give Reiki during chemotherapy, hospice, pre-op, post-op, and even in the OR during surgery. I am a Certified Life Coach from the Universal Coach Institute.
