Introduction: I love "moments." When I'm around town and see people about to take a selfie, I approach them and offer to take a group shot with their camera. When they trust me and say yes, that's a moment. When they look at the shot and smile, that's an even better moment. When I'm teaching and see the wheels turning, that's a moment. When a couple arrive and settle down and we begin, that's a wonderful moment. I work to provide warm, supportive, and efficient wedding moments for all kinds of my fellow humans. Ceremonies can be spiritual, secular, LGBTQ, interfaith, for the incarcerated, and, of course, Jewish. I received a license to officiate from the Clerk of the City of New York in 2001. Good in all states. A wide range of folks have sought me out to officiate their ceremonies: those with humanist and secular views as well as religious couples, and anyone inbetween. Straight and LGBTQ. Interfaith. Committed love is committed love. We all honor Love and Life in our ceremonies. While I don't speak it fluently, I have officiated many weddings en Español, both completely and bilingually, using a written script. It has brought smiles and tears of joy in over 30 weddings. Todos estan contentos. Also, in Russian, German, Italian, French, and Hebrew. Since October 2020, over 300 weddings. Fridays from 2-7pm, and only after 6PM on Saturdays. Clients have noted and appreciated that I am always — always — on time. Early, usually. Some NYC Facts: A New York State ceremony can't take place until 24 hours after the marriage license is issued. The license is good for 60 days. You don't need a New York City Parks permit to have a ceremony if your group is smaller than 20. BUT, having a permit reserves the venue for you. An important part of the process answering the questionnaire I’ll send you. really helps me create a ceremony focused on YOU. Ceremonies last between 7-25 minutes, depending. This is the pattern: Signing the Marriage License Opening Welcome Speech to the Couple Ring Exchange (optional) and Vows Concluding Readings/Blessing Pronouncement Jewish ceremonies follow the traditional pattern. Introductory blessings oncluding the one over wine, traditional wedding vow wording, the seven marriage blessings followed by a sip of wine, breaking the glass and signing the ketubah. All can be done in a variety of styles, but the structure remains. The price you saw in my thumbnail is what we call “the base price.” Transportation and other considerations are then factored in. Many couples say that the ceremony length is perfect – – not short, not long, and they like my pace. So, that’s it. Wishing you a very happy life together. I’d love to be the one to send you off, ceremony full of "moments." Would you like to get in touch? Daniel P.S. I sing.

Thank you so very much for turning a mundane process of getting a NYC wedding license into a very special affair. We really appreciate your ceremony and discussion and would hire you again (but that won’t be needed :-)

My wedding has been planned for July 2024 for over a year now. It has always been my dream for my grandmother to attend my wedding. However, my 97-year-old Grandma's dementia has worsened in the last few months. Out of fear that she may not physically or mentally make my wedding in July, my fiance and I decided to have a Jewish ceremony exclusively for my Grandma. Cantor Daniel was incredibly adaptive and quick-working to make this last-minute wedding come to fruition. Not only was he punctual and present, he also paid close attention to who we are as people. The words he had to say were also incredibly moving and lovely. My Grandma thoroughly enjoyed the Hebrew song portion of the wedding, as well, and it brought back memories growing up at our temple. I am so glad we went with Cantor Daniel for our wedding, and I wouldn't have done it any other way.

Daniel is a really professional and open minded officiant. He came to our mini ceremony 15 mins ahead and be sure everything is well prepared. He also gave us suggestions on the process which helps us a lot! Our parents don’t know how to speak English, but he is super patient to communicate with them. Also our parents are glad you like our hand made dumplings :) 非常感谢以及荣幸Daniel成为我们的婚礼牧师!我们父母也非常开心你的到来!

Cantor Daniel Pincus's reply
Thank you, Chuyi. Yes, the dumplings were great, but not as much as you and Allen together in the ceremony, surrounded by family and friends. It was a beautiful celebration and I'm very pleased that you invited me to officiate. 谢谢你!

Cantor Daniel was a wonderful addition to our wedding. He accommodated us somewhat at the last minute and upstate! We also wanted my stepfather to help officiate the wedding, another request that Cantor Daniel graciously accommodated. He did a wonderful job of framing the ceremony while also giving my stepfather time to do his thing! And he even took the time to speak to my stepdad ahead of time to figure out the flow. We also loved that he had us fill out a questionnaire so he could get to know us and incorporate our responses and personality into the ceremony. His ceremony was sweet, funny, and even educational. And he has a BEAUTIFUL voice. Thank you so much, Daniel!

Cantor Daniel Pincus's reply
Dear Emily, This brings back sweet memories of the ceremony at the Little Stony Point Park location you chose. It was a beautiful occasion and I am grateful for the opportunity to play my part in it. I wish you and Adam the blessings of good health, family happiness, prosperity, and fulfillment in your lives. Daniel
