Introduction: Greetings! I am a Brooklyn based private chef with a focus on nutrition and a background in dietetics. Right now I'm offering weekly meal delivery service only. My meals are always plant based, seasonal, healthy, creative, and customized for you! *Say hi! Email: thegreenerpalate (at) gmail.com CHEF SERVICES: I work with both families and individuals to help you understand your own nutritional needs through making wholesome, delicious food, easier to aquire and more manageable to prepare. I specialize in accommodating to specific dietary needs, allergies, goals and preferences, including gluten/dairy free, vegan, paleo, keto, AIP, FODMAP, pregnancy, cancer related diets and chemotherapy as well as those experiencing or desiring, a significant change in their health. Also families! :) How it works: 1. We discuss quantity of meals your seeking, and all dietary needs/taste preferences/allergies/health goals 2. Schedule a delivery day (ideally a day that we can keep consistent each week) 3. A few days prior I create a menu plan and send proposed menu suggestions to choose from. You/the client will modify and approve- adjustments/requests always welcome 4. On scheduled day, I shop, cook, package, (labels with ingredients and reheating instructions provided) and deliver! 5. I request a grocery deposit a day prior and then service fee after delivery, through venmo, paypal or zelle. If you have any questions at all please let me know! If you want to try it out, we can set up a trial delivery day and get started on menu planning. Overall, my philosophy is focused on balance, in all aspects of our lives, and its important to feel supported when making changes so that incorporating them isn’t so challenging. We all want long lasting change, so receiving guidance, the framework and tools to pursue that, can be motivating and helpful. My focus is creating a better and more fulfilling relationship to our primary energy source, food!

Emily’s services were amazing! She totally turned my nutrition and eating habits around. We worked together on a new eating plan for me. Teaching me to cook new foods and live healthier. I was able to loose weight and feel great. It’s taken me a very long time, but with Emily’s help I’m on a better path.

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

    Pricing for chef services is based on a day rate, determined by the number of meals you'd like, the serving size for each and the frequency per week. The more info you provide helps determine an accurate quote and faster response to your request.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

    After initial correspondence, we will connect over the phone or in person if you prefer. We will discuss dietary preferences, needs and expectations. I will send my sample menu and a food questionnaire. I will then create a weekly meal plan to which we can alter and change together. We plan our first cook day, I shop and get cooking! I then store the food in containers, offer reheating instructions, clean up and am on my way!

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

    I studied nutrition sciences and dietetics, which led me to my passion for cooking. I found that for me, the best way to help people find their own path to being healthier is to either show them how to prepare home cooked meals or offer my services to ensure nutrition focused weekly meals. In addition I trained and worked at the Institute of Culinary Education. I have 5 years of experience working with families and individuals, providing cooking services, lessons and nutrition coaching.
