Jackie Levine Violin and Viola Studio
Introduction: Jackie completed her training at the Manhattan School of Music Precollege Division and the Tanglewood and Aspen summer music festivals. She majored in music at Princeton University where she graduated with high honors in 2016. Her violin and viola students have participated in All County and All State festivals, and have consistently received high scores on their NYSSMA performances. Jackie has ample experience working with musicians of all ages, levels, and backgrounds. She worked at the Harmony Program for two years, managing a roster of over sixty teaching artists and working on music curriculum development for elementary and middle school students. She also spent the summer of 2015 teaching violin, viola, and music theory in Trujillo, Peru, all in Spanish.

When I was in high school, Jackie has been such a great teacher when it came to needing help and showing me the proper ways to perform my absolute best. She also created a very comfortable barrier while teaching and it was easy for me to understand all of her teachings. If I had to pick a violin teacher from my past, I would have definitely have chosen Jackie as my teacher from the beginning to the end.

Jackie was my daughter’s first violin teacher and we were highly impressed with her ability to connect with a shyer, more timid learner and prepare her for school orchestra. After only one summer of lessons, Our daughter was well advanced in her class and ended up being given the prestigious “first chair” position during school performances. We owe it all to Jackie for giving her a strong beginning foundation in violin technique and note reading.
