FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I price depending on travel expenses, whether it is print or digital download, and how much time will be spent on each project. I try to be fair and don't have any hidden expense. I include photoshop in the price. I do that because I know I will try to make the best result every time. I can always improve a photo, even slightly, in photoshop and that is always worth my time. All in all I try to give you a great finished product and charge according to what I can do to make the best result.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The customer and I talk on the phone or in person to discuss what they want and their expectations. If it is an event, I get there early and make sure I know what is going to happen. Then I take as many pictures as possible. If it is a portrait/headshot, then I plan the lighting and overall look of the shoot. I want to make sure the model is comfortable and help them with posing if they need it. We'll get many shots and try anything and everything during the process. In either case, I try my hardest to connect with everyone involved in the production in order to make it a great experience.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I went to Brooks Institute of Photography for two years and studied Professional Photography. I started out doing photography in High School and took many photography classes. I completed Advanced Placement Photography in Highschool and have been trained in darkroom photography, advanced photoshop, lighting, large format cameras, and how to do the creative processes involved in photography. Additionally, I have experience in taking photographs of weddings, engagements, portraits and animals.
