Martin was professional at the start. Came out and looked at our stairwell and hallway we needed painted and told us he could do it for the original quoted price. We set up a date and time for him to come out and do the work. He arrived over an hour late, when he told me he would be early. When inside he told me the job was going to be an additional $150 and that he didn't remember telling us he would paint the hallway and now he was only going to do one coat of paint on the walls. I told him we needed two coats on the walls and we were only going to pay the price we had agreed on. It got awkward and he then decided he would do the job for the original price and do two coats. In the end, he only did one coat on the walls. There are spots we will need to go back and touch up ourselves. He's a nice man, but our experience with him wasn't ideal. Be it lack of communication on his part or ours, but asking a client the day of for 50% more than the original quote that he agreed on because you "only do one coat" and didn't remember we asked him to paint hallway was unprofessional.
