Introduction: I'm a collector of memories. If life has taught me anything, it's to enjoy the small moments, like sharing a glass of wine with friends or a peacefull walk in the park with my dog at my side. Those fleeting moments bring me joy from within and I treasure them just as much as life's grand adventures. We all know time cannot be stopped, but we can capture it forever with a photo or even a painting. I had the most wondrous childhood and am so grateful my mom took so many photos. After my dad passed away when I was twelve, those photos were more precious to me than gold. My husband only knows my dad through the stories I tell and the photos I share. Priceless! Ever since then, I've made sure to capture each stage of life and put it on canvas, in an album, or in a frame. You'll never be where you are in life again, so take it in, breathe deeply, and smile.
For six years, I taught elementary school in Oklahoma and loved spending time with those kiddos. Child portraiture is one of my favorite areas of photography because sometimes it just feels good to kick off your shoes, play a little tag, and capture the true essence of childhood! The only kids I have are my beloved rescue pups! Sophie, my heart dog, inspired me to start painting dog portraits. Let's be honest, she inspired me to start photography too. She's quite the model! Like kids, there's a true joy and innocence with animals that I love capturing on canvas (or on camera!).
