Introduction: I've been playing the violin for 17 years. I took it very seriously once I decided to study violin as my major for a bachelors degree in performance. I have a deep passion for music and recently have discovered my love for teaching. I have been both in schools and private lesson for over 3 years now and have loved every minute of it. I consider it a gift to be able to share my musical knowledge, experiences, and passion with my violin students.
I absolutely love performing and recording because it allows me to bring music to people all over. Likewise, I enjoy teaching, because it is very rewarding to see my student progress and develop their own passion for music.

I am an adult beginning violin student and Jessica has been my teacher for going on two years. Being an adult beginner and severely dyslexic, I doubt I have been the easiest student and I am certainly not the fastest learner, but Jessica has accepted every challenge willingly and with encouragement. In fact her age may be a benefit to younger and or less able students as she is adaptable, approachable and most often encouraging. The student is made aware that the practice room is " the safe zone". Every session has thus far been fun, yet challenging. By way of criticism, all I can say is that critique while always constructive, are often followed with an apology (" Sorry, I'm just being nit picky"). Isn't that the job of the teacher? Jessica is also always quick to point out those areas where the student is showing improvement.
