Introduction: Hello I’m Jim (Jimmie, James, JB, jimmieb, Hey you get out of my way and the best photographer you’ve never heard of) Butler. I’m a wedding, portrait, fashion, lifestyle, commercial and headshot and pretty much everything in between photographer! I love telling stories with my photos and would love to tell yours. What make me stand out from the rest. I learned early on that I had a gift to notice the second in between noticing a moment and focusing my camera. I find myself drawn to making images this way, when the moment is right. “What we see depends mainly on what we look for.” ― John Lubbock I enjoy sharing moments.I am really good at sharing; sharing your JOY, your EXCITEMENT, your SMILES, your LAUGHS, and your tears of happiness for years to come. Picking up a camera in my early 20s and never putting it down again has been one of the most important things I’ve done in my life. I’m a laid back kind of guy with a creative soul and a sarcastic, keep you on your toes sense of humor. I am driven to document whatever surprises or delights me. I have a strong urge to be outside just after the sun sets. I learned this craft on a film camera. I am constantly intrigued by light. For some reason I can’t stop taking pictures of Zantedeschia aethiopica (I guess I could have just said Calla Lilies). I like to meditate every day …. and by meditate I mean go to the gym. My basset hound Tucker is awesome. Everything somehow becomes more real after I take a picture. Almost as if it were a Super Power. I can freeze time and share it with all - what's your Super Power?
