Introduction: ELLTX Computers has been doing business since 1991. Beginning in Tucson, Arizona, and servicing the entire Southern half of Arizona I now service the Eastern Iowa Corridor of Iowa City, Coralville, North Liberty, Cedar Rapids, Hiawatha, and Marion, Iowa. If it has to do with Computers or computerized systems I can help. My fascination with computers has never faded or wavered. Every day is an exciting challenge of finding the best possible solution to ever-changing configurations, software, and hardware. It's like a good book that you can't put down. Each problem I face is a challenge that I embrace. Even the problems that I've solved many times before are still fresh because there are always little differences to deal with and sort out.

Lyn has been my go to guy for 10 plus years. As a self employed, computer challenged person with two businesses to run,I have Lyn linked in to all my PC's and have him constantly involved in solving issues I run up against,but mostly,teaching me why and how the problems that occur on my machines happen,and what I need to do to cope with them and deal with the problems that arise. So often,it's me that is the issue,and something I did wrong. Lyn has a very gifted way of teaching people and dealing with the frustrations that the average person experiences with today's PC and program issues. Lyn not only solves the problem,he "fixes" the person and instills a sense of confidence that helps me navigate and operate said programs going forward. Coming from a guy that has been a 35 plus year training and technical representative for the number 1 automotive under car service equipment company in the world ,Lyn is one hell of an IT guy.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Many PC problems can be solved via remote control of your computer. In those cases I typically charge $40/hr. A visit in person from me I charge $45 to $65/hr. depending on the type of work. And if you are willing to deliver your machine and leave it with me for a few days I discount to $30 per hour.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Determine the need(s) and then provide recommendation(s) and/or a bid/estimate for the job..
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I've been a computer service technician since 1989. In my 25+ years I've built, installed, configured, troubleshot, and repaired almost every kind of office business system there is. Back in the day I installed and setup Novell Servers and workstations, ran all the then coax and later Ethernet cabling. I built all the workstations and installed and configured all the software as well as trained the end users at times. In setup Linux based PBX servers and setup and installed copy machines. Foremost my expertise is with desktop workstations. Home computers of the PC type. I'm familiar with Apple but much prefer the Intel / Windows system.
