About this pro
We provide personalized coaching and training for owners of newly acquired dogs and dogs with behavior problems. Most dog training programs, either behavior or obedience, have a set curriculum for all dogs. Our programs fit to your dog's specific needs, based on your lifestyle. your home is a great place to evaluate, practice new behaviors, and establish routines for your dog. We'll travel to you and utilize gentle, positive reinforcement to encourage behavior change and to make the training sessions fun and enjoyable. For individuals who aren't able to devote the time needed to establish new behaviors or change problem behaviors, we now offer a board and train service in a home environment. Your dog will stay at our trainers home and will receive daily training sessions. When not training, instead of sitting in a kennel your dog will be an active member of the family and practice house manners around the clock. We specialize in behavior problems such as: Ø Pulling on the leash on walks. Ø Jumping on visitors and family members. Ø Excessive barking. Ø Separation anxiety. Ø Resource guarding (food, toys, bones, etc.) Ø Reactivity (aggression, biting, nipping, chasing, charging) I am passionate about using what Ive learned about canine behavior to enable dogs to be valued companions and skilled helpers. My time spent selecting and training shelter dogs to become Service Dogs has shown me how truly amazing the relationship between a dog and their human can be. I love the relationships I develop with both pet parents and dogs. The success stories motivate me to continue what I do. Dogs are my passion, and I love sharing this passion with my clients.

- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?I work closely with my clients and teach them how to work and train their dog. I create customized training plans and help clients facilitate them during the training sessions. My goal is to provide my clients with the knowledge and tools necessary to sustain healthy habits and behaviors with their dog for years to come.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work? After a 4 year apprenticeship, I began my dog training career working as an Assistance Dog Instructor, Training Service and Hearing dogs. I trained assistance dogs for 9 years, the last four spent working with shelter dogs, where I got to deepen my knowledge of Behavior modification. I've spent the last two years training privately, helping owners and their dogs overcome problem behaviors.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?Training dogs was a childhood dream. I feel very grateful to get to live this dream today, as I enjoy my work immensely.
