FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
As it is important to have clear parameters as re: scope of work to be done, a sit-down with the client is necessary. Go over the details of the project. Make clear what services I can and do include in the quote, and if possible, refer client to a capable individual or company that provides those services which are not my forte`.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a background in Mechanical Engineering Graphics (Northeastern University of Boston), a Certification in Machine Operation, and Life experience in the field of Custom Residential Construction.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I started working in a cabinet shop in my last year of High school (1975). Went to work as a carpenters' helper, framing large custom homes in the mountains of Colorado (1990). Within 3 years was asked to be job foreman. Injured my foot in such manner as to prevent heavy lifting and the climbing of rough terrain, so I moved inside, with the help of a sponsor. I have never looked back! I love my job!
