FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I bid all of my work on a per job basis. This due to every project requiring a different systematic plan. No two jobs will ever be the same. Any Contractor that doesn't choose to adhere to these principles probably lacks the ability to not only properly assess work, but may in addition lack the knowledge, and skills to do a professional job.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I prefer to first talk with any potential customer by way of phone. Then I ask several questions to better determine if I am indeed a suitable candidate to perform the desired work. Once this has been done an agreed upon time can be set for me to meet the individuals where the work is to be performed.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I began my career as an apprentice Floor Layer. The apprenticeship program has a four year curriculum. However, I set a record and completed the program in a record two years and three months. I quickly went on to become a master mechanic. After many years of installing I opened my first flooring sales, and installation company Sure Step Flooring. My talent was soon recognized and I accepted positions as a Technical Consultant for several Manufacturers. I developed a strong desire to once again aquire the sense of gratification that I received while installing. Therefore I decided to start my now second business, Fabulous Flooring. I've made the decision to keep a low profile, and keep my company small. I do not advertise, nor am I posted in many places. My business comes mainly from word of mouth, and repeat customers. Everything that I do pertaining to installations is done so according to industry standards to assure that I provide nothing but quality work. I have never had one complaint regarding my completed work, or my professionalism.
