Introduction: Over a span of 8+ years, I have specialized in providing highschoolers with individualized solutions to the pain points of Spanish grammar, helping colleged-aged students to bolster their writing and reading fluency, and assisting adults at different stages of life who want to boost their conversational abilities for business or personal travel.
About Me:
-As an undergraduate at Cornell University, I was awarded Cornell's Prize for Excellence in Foreign Language Study for demonstrated mastery of Spanish.
-As a Peace Corps volunteer in Guatemala, I taught Spanish to foreigners and served as a community interpreter.
-As a Spanish teacher at an underperforming high school, I tailored my teaching methods to a wide spectrum of native and nonnative students.
-As a professional Spanish translator, I produced a 17,000-word translation of a research report that was cited by the New York Times and National Public Radio.
The US is now the second-largest Spanish speaking country in the world. In response to the growing awareness of the practical value of learning Spanish and deepening one's engagement with it, I enjoy providing results-oriented tutoring, am passionate about explaining the inner workings of the lanugage, and would be eager to equip you with the skills and confidence to take your Spanish to the next level.
