FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
The idea is to keep quotes as fair as possible. I am here for my students so my pricing system is based off of 3 factors that cater to them. 1) level of experience (career or education wise) of student 2) amount of time we will need to together 3) miscellaneous factors such as travel, supplies, time of tutoring. The first quote I send out is a baseline quote and is subject to change after initial meeting. I keep my rates as low as possible but I also I try to stay competitive.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When I'm working with a new customer I spend the first meeting understanding the customers needs to the best degree possible. I look for what the customer truly is looking for. I urge the customer to give it a few sessions before calling it quits. All good things take some time so setting the right foundation is key. An example of a method I use with a new customer is seeing where the customer is currently and where they want to be in the near future.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a chemical engineer with excellent analytical, math and science skills. To improve my communication and writing skills I joined toastmasters, public speaking club. This has helped me gain lots of confidence in everything I do.
