About this pro
Margaret is an amazing yoga teacher. She embodies everything you could want in a teacher. She is patient, knowledgeable, and super responsive to students’ needs, whether it’s suggesting alternate poses for injury or fatigue, correcting poses, helping you get a deeper stretch or answering questions about the practice. I love Margaret’s classes. She is alway on-time and it’s fun and relaxing at the same time. I would highly recommend margaret as a teacher.Mar 23, 2018

- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?I tend to inquire about whether or not clients have injuries so that I can suggest alternative or modified poses.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I am a 200 hour register yoga alliance teacher. I am also certified in trauma informed yoga and a certified reiki master.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?My discovery of yoga occurred after being struck by a car while crossing the street, where I fractured all three bones of her left ankle joint. Suffering from PTSD, depression and anxiety, I was no longer able to do my usual weight training and cardio. The hardware holding my ankle together was removed 18 months later, my body stiff from the inactivity, and using crutches, and a cane for over a year; I struggled to just to bend over to touch my knees. When I started practicing yoga, it completely transformed me, and I fell in love with the practice. I was able to regain balance on my left leg and can even touch my toes now! From yoga, I learned patience, calmness and the ability to just be present. I attribute the recovery of my mind, body and spirit to yoga. My passion and genuine love for yoga brought her a desire to want to share this wonderful, spiritual and ascetic practice with others. Coming into yoga in my mid-30’s, I presently perceives yoga as my fountain of youth. Because a person is only as young as their spine is flexible. I will encourage the use of props, recommend alternative poses and suggest pose modifications to accommodate students with various skill levels or challenges. I will adjust poses to suit the individual practitioner.
