Introduction: I am a tutor and mentor with more than 10 years of experience. During the year, I work in an elementary school and during the summer I teach at a visual and performance art camp that focuses on empowerment. I combine my creativity, compassionate communication skills and knowledge of the classroom to help kids gain confidence and life-long learning strategies. I tutor all K-8 subjects--my specialties are math and writing. I have experience working with learning differences, including ADD, ADHD and Asbergers. Excellent local references available by request. I love the "light bulb moment" when a student gets something they used to think was "too hard" or "impossible".
