- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Here are some of the areas that I cover in a lesson: Improve your vocal technique. Work the break in your voice. Determine the best key for your songs. Prepare repertoire for an audition/performance/recording session. Expand your phrasing ideas and emotional interpretation. Develop your musicianship & ear training. Address your specific vocal needs and musical questions.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My education and training: Bachelor of Music degree (voice/piano) from Ithaca College, NY; graduate studies at Bank Street College of Education, SUNY-Stony Brook, Hofstra University and C.W. Post. I am a member of the National Association of Teachers of Singing and a Jefferson Award Winner. In 1980 I founded and started directing the Anything Goes Chorus for adults in San Francisco and the East Bay, and have been the musical theater director at Stagebridge, the nations onldest for 10 years.
