Introduction: I have taught private piano for 10+ years and am also an organist/choir director for a church. I enjoy teaching children and also excel with adults. You' re never too old to learn! I get great satisfaction watching my students' faces light up when they learn to play a new song. With adults, it's especially gratifying when they see that they are never too old to learn.

Jane taught piano to our daughter Hannah in the 1990s. Jane was always pleasant and tolerant with a child who did not like to practice! She provided Hannah with great musical experiences despite Hannah's sometimes surly mood. Hannah is a better person because of Jane's kindness and musical knowledge.

Jane is an outstanding piano teacher. She was very patient and encouraging in every lesson. I studied piano with her in high school and learned a lot. My only regret is not starting with her earlier! The knowledge and skills I gained from her instruction helped me in my four years of music school at West Virginia University. I am currently an elementary music teacher and was blessed to have a strong music foundation which was formed in lessons with Jane. I have also had the pleasure of singing while she accompanied me on several occasions. She is very talented and I would highly reccomend her.

Jane was a perfect addition to our wedding. It was great having her involved in planning. She listened to the feel of the wedding we wanted and was able to create it. I had songs in mind, and she just added on. Very easy to work with and talk to.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
For younger students, I like to do a 1-month trial to make sure there is a good fit between the student and me.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I studied private piano for 10 years and continued studying in college. I have additional experience and training playing the organ. I have been playing the piano for more than 40 years.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I began as an accompanist for our junior high chorus in the 7th grade. I continued all through high school and loved it! I continued piano lessons through college and began to accompany groups in performances as well as in churches. I have always loved to play piano and want to help others enjoy it too!
