Introduction: I received a Masters degree in Piano Performance from Bob Jones University and am currently pursuing a second Masters degree in Music at Florida State University. Most of my piano students achieve high ratings in Music events (i.e. National Federation of Music Clubs, Piano competitions etc). I always tell my students there is a difference between "playing" and "practicing." Students who learn to practice correctly are students who see results. The key to being a successful piano teacher is understanding your students learning styles and adjusting your methods to best suite their needs. With this in mind, I tailor each lesson for individual students by understanding their goals, determining the level, and selecting appropriate repertoire. Ariel seeks to make each lesson an enjoyable experience by selecting music that will both challenge and inspire her students. She incorporates theory review games and incentives to help motivate younger students and keep them excited about music. She strongly encourages her students to be involved in performance opportunities and schedules masterclasses, recitals, and other events throughout the school year.
