FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I price for myself, not for what my competitors charge. Meaning I price fare and for what it costs me to do the job.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Depends on the size of the job. Bigger jobs with demo will require the customer to pay separate for demo, then for the install of the tile. If the job is more than 3-4 days long the monies will be separated between days, example if we are going to be there 6 days, every 2 days labor fees are settled for what has been done. If material is to be purchased by my company then there is a 50%-75% deposit required to order materials.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
All of my training in the tile industry came from the school of hard knocks and mistakes that was made. I went into the business not knowing about the tile industry and of course I failed at several jobs, they took longer than they would normally and I missed prices several before I knew to charge for what I’m worth not what my competitors where charging. I have been self taught that I don’t compete with my competitors on price. My price is for me and not anyone else.
