FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I do this as a hobby. I'm not in it for the money, which is reflected in what I charge. I generally charge a standard rate per hour but can base it on the job, too.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to meet the customer to get a feel for what they want. I want them to know me and what I can do to help them. I want them to feel comfortable with the person doing the work for them.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Master's degree in Business administration and an undergraduate degree in Finance. My "day job" is in banking. Ever since I was in grade school, I've worked in various fields that pertain to being a Handyman. I've worked as a maintenance person at a meat packing plant, the game and parks division for a city, worked at Lowe's, installed siding, roofed houses, done general carpentry work, and various other odd jobs.
