- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We generally like to bid by seeing the space in person, but since this is often not possible on thumbtack our rates are based on $15 per hour per worker, cleaning a moderately dirty house. If a flat rate is not what your looking for we can also do an hourly rate at $15 per hour per person, or we can do the first clean hourly, and tailor the rate to the situation.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My name is Chris, and I founded Omnivillage with my girlfriend Katelyn. We both have over 5 years of commercial, and residential cleaning experience. I'm also a jack of all trades with experience in electronics repair, landscaping, tree trimming, moving, and most construction trades. Besides service industry experience I have also spent 4-5 years working with and managing non-profits, and political campaigns. This is what inspired me to start an worker owned service cooperative where everyone shares equally in responsibility, and the profits from their labor.
