FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Customers receive highest quality service when I work on an hourly basis--but as quickly as possible without errors of omission or commission. Supplies are reimbursed from original receipts. No surprises at the end. Cost-Plus is another way to be sure you get your money's worth. You get a full itemization of all materials and costs, including exact labor cost, and then a percentage to cover overhead is added.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
1. Phone discussion about project parameters. 2. I submit a rough figure as to cost options. 3. I visit site and submit a closer cost estimate and clarify expectations and details. 4. Deposit is received, materials purchased, work begins. 5. Constant feedback or clarification is appreciated. 6. On completion, including cleanup, to customer requirements, final payment is made. 7. Referrals are requested.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
2 years on-the-job painting training + experience painting 12 houses and 2 commercial buildings. Master's degree in applied technology that emphasized diagnosis and answer-finding to technical questions. 30 years experience in applied sciences. I rehab houses for the rent-to-own market and am always learning how to do better work faster and less expensively.
