FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My rates for tax preparation are "by the form" and vary depending on the type of client (Individual OR Business) and their particular situation. I encourage potential clients to call and answer a few questions to determine an exact price.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
During my initial contact with a customer I ask questions to get a feel for their tax needs and discuss my rates. I send them an e-mail that includes an Engagement Letter, a Client Tax Organizer and a Client Checklist. This material assists the customer with the type of documents and information that they're expected to bring to their appointment. On appointment day I prepare and e-file their taxes. Customers receiving a refund may pay my fees from their refund if they choose, otherwise I accept cash, checks or credit cards.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Ive prepared individual taxes for over thirty years, prepared taxes and managed books for the self-employed, small business and non-profits for fourteen years. Im an active member of The National Society of Tax Professionals and The National Association of Tax Professionals as well as a Notary.
