You're going to get what you pay for.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Bachelor's Degree in Digital Graphic Design with Cum Laude Honors (3.60 GPA) at Atlantic University College, one of the only universities in the Caribbean specializing in digital arts education in all of its forms, located in Guaynabo, Puerto Rico. An internship at DDB Latina Puerto Rico, which helped me obtain knowledge and experience of how the creative process and the development of an advertising campaign for various well-known brands like Subway, Walmart Puerto Rico, Johnson & Johnson, and a few others are carried out through an advertising agency.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I've been a fan of computers and everything tech for as long as I can remember, plus I also like creating things. Thanks to that, my parents one day taught me very basic, simple stuff on Adobe Illustrator, which at the age of 8, blew my mind because of what I had discovered. Just so happens that I was still playing baseball at that age, and kept on playing till the age of early 18; something that didn't allow me to fully invest my time with computers and design programs even more than I wanted to. Because of economic ups and downs in the family at the time, I was forced into deciding whether I wanted to keep playing or not, and after many years dedicated to the sport, and college less than a year away, I decided to pursue a different path in life; one that was a little more under my terms. Turns out that there was a small college in Puerto Rico, Atlantic University College, dedicated to the digital arts that I was told about through friends. I was once again at that point in life in which I had to make a commitment to something and for some reason, everything was pointing towards graphic design, so I went with it; and here I am almost 11 years later standing strong and better than ever. There's way more to the story, but this should at least answer the question. 😂 Trust in the journey.
