The Most effective self defense system I have ever seen. The instruction is broken down easily so anyone can understand. Everyone starts with the same drill and some add ons. All of your "what if" questions will get a definite answer. You will also get to touch hands with more experienced people there and get corrections as needed. No bad attitudes when help is needed they are glad to help you. You will leave with knowledge that can be used immediately if a situation arises and a blown away mind! SiFu Carroll is an amazing instructor and is very approachable! No egos there! no hidden fees, no belts, no uniforms, no unnecessary equipment to buy. This school is so good, that I travel from NC to Alabama to train in this system because it works!

This school is the real deal. This Wing Chun is meant for pure self-defense--nothing flashy--only simple, efficient, and brutally effective. If you want to learn to defend yourself and loved ones, check this place out. If you're more interested in sport applications/MMA and a certification and belts are what you're seeking, then this is not the school for you. I make the drive from Memphis to Huntsville a couple times a month to train at the school. Sifu Dustan Carroll is dedicated to the art as passed down from Ip Man via Duncan Leung. He also is a dedicated teacher and knows how to pass on the knowledge and teach the skills, and his students range from the beginning novice to those with years of experience in other martial arts; with a diverse group in age, male and female. Sifu Carroll's teaching methods are hands-on and unlike some other schools, he takes the time to answer individual questions and explain the drills. Like the best schools out there, the drills and techniques taught here have real life applications to today's dangers in the street.

A testimony from a humble pupil, to his SiFu…
I grew up watching Bruce Lee, Chuck Norris, Jim Kelly, Jackie Chan, Cynthia Rothrock, Sho Kosugi and other martial artists’ movies.
Martial arts began for me in 1983, in Worms, Germany, taking traditional Jujitsu at the YMCA on the U.S. Army base. Due to moving with my military lifestyle, I have studied several martial arts systems; TKD, Tai Chi, Tiger kung fu, The Art of Self Preservation (T.A.S.P.), Ving Tsun, Hapkido, Capoeira, Kali, Bukti Negara and Silat. It was difficult to find an art I had taken previously, so I took ones I thought were the best at the time.
After I went to one class at the Wing Chun Boxing academy I knew I had found my true father of Wing Chun Boxing. SiFu Carroll’s presence is like a continuously regenerative power source of positive energy.
SiFu Carroll has taught me that Wing Chun can work in any fight situation, standing, and sitting or on the ground. He teaches Wing Chun as concentrated and true-to-form as he received. You will learn to generate great power in a short distance in a short time. What he teaches will help you protect yourself and others right away. In just a few classes you will feel confidence that what you learned already works.
He has an instinctive ability to teach each student what they need to strengthen their weaknesses. I highly recommend you to come and try out a class. If you are skeptical, please bring your “I believe” button, because you will press it. I travel over 3 hours from Memphis, TN to Huntsville twice a month to take his class. I have studied Wing Chun from SiFu Dustan Carroll for over five years and I am still learning more ways to use movements that I learned from day one. I have trained under Sifu Carroll at the Wing Chun Boxing Academy for over 6 years now. Prior to that I have over 20 years experience in martial arts in varying styles. The knowledge and expertise that is present at here is second to none. There is no flashy nonsense that doesn't work. Only real world self defense. Highly recommended to anyone looking for a martial art or self defense.
