FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Each property is different so I prefer not to do blind quotes. However I do understand the need or desire to have a general idea of the cost of any service you are paying for. I charge by the job or by the hour depending on type of work. Most cleaners do base their clean on an hourly rate whether it shows in their "flat rate" or not. Hourly rates range from $25-45 again depending on the job. $25 being weekly routine cleaning and $45 rough post construction. Deep cleaning and Move-out cleaning are not always the same thing. A Move-out clean often involves much more and should be taken into account. Also if you have never had your home cleaned professionally and are looking for a "one-time" cleaning you more than likely(but not always) need a deep clean whether there are pets in he home or not So your initial clean will be based on an hourly rate to ensure a good thorough once over and should help bring subsequent cleaning time down substantially resulting in a lower standard cleaning rate each visit. Its up to you what and how much you need cleaned. Keep in mind that if it takes you,the home owner 5hrs to clean your home it's not likely that anyone will be able to come in and have that same 5hr job done in 2 or 3hrs unless they are not really cleaning your home very well. I hear it again and again that someone came to clean and charged x amount of dollars, only stayed a short time, and the house was not cleaned up to their standards. It's your time, your home and your money. You should be more than pleased when your cleaner leaves the job. Pricing covers not only the actual service performed but all other aspects of owning and operating a small business, insurances, bonding, registrations, accounting, transportation, listing and marketing services, etc.... The great thing about this type of service is that we do have lower overhead costs than most. Also most services performed do not require sales tax in the state of Florida. And Special Offers change periodically but be sure to ask if you don't see one. I generally will throw in an extra hour at no cost with your Full Initial Clean. This helps you and me both as I get to know both you and your home cleaning needs.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
You can contact me by directly by email or by phone/text message. Include your name, contact information including email address, brief description of job, urgency, time preference, anything else you would like me to know. I will get back to you as soon as possible. We can set up a time to meet and work out details and scheduling or I can just come and get started right away. A lot depends on whether job is one time or recurring and what your needs may be. My website is still under construction.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
The only actual training I've had for this job is a certificate in Environmental Services(Custodial&Housekeeping) from R.O.P. the Regional Occupation Program in San Diego, CA. I have other certificates from R.O.P. but this is the only one relating to this Cleaning Service.
