A friend's granddaughter told me about Jason Free with owner of SoundSmith Music Center. I decided to try to set up lessons with him. I have been a guitar student with Jason for three and a half years. My playing has definitely improved. He is generous with his time. The location of the store is convenient and the rates for lessons are reasonable. My lessons are structured to help me improve but we also play songs that I have worked on and Jason will help me overcome any problems I may have with the song. My granddaughter got a guitar for Christmas and I recommended my daughter contact SoundSmith Music Center for lessons. Sophie is now a student at SoundSmith Music Center. I would definitely recommend SouthSmith Music Center to friends and family.

My son who is 16 has been taking guitar lessons from Jason Free for 8 years and we could not be happier with the results! Jason is an excellent teacher. He is great with kids and is an extremely talented musician. He tailors the lessons to my sons ability and encourages my sons creativity. Now that my son’s skills are advanced, Jason often extends the lesson time to keep my son challenged, which is very generous of him! My son always enjoys the guitar lessons. Jason is also flexible with working out any make-up lessons when needed. Occasionally, Jason has put together performance recitals where the students can show what they have learned in front of a friends and family audience. This really encourages the student to practice and get a feel for being on stage. My son has really enjoyed them and Jason does a great job of putting the shows together. My son and I are very happy with the experience we have had with Jason and I highly recommend him!

Jason is a great teacher. Our daughter has been taking guitar lessons with Jason for 7 years. She loves it. It’s adolescent therapy... a huge stress reliever. While she is pretty reserved, Jason has encouraged her to perform in public and try different styles of music.

I've been going to Jason for guitar lessons for a few months now and it has been a great experience. Lessons tailored to what I want, friendly staff and nice venue. I've seen noticable improvement in just a short period of time. I highly recommend this place for lessons.
