FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Every job is different and the most important thing is the client is happy with the final results. I will work on your project until you are happy with the product! I love capturing people's stories and I love my job. Generally, I charge $200 per hour of shooting for portrait shoots. This is because for every hour of shooting, I spend and hour or more editing, and creating the final product. Usually in a 2 hour shoot I will provide 40-100 final images. For commercial shoots I charge a day rate and then sometimes a licensing fee per image. Please contact me for more info.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to chat with the client to see what their end goal is for the images, what they like and don't like and how we can best achieve their goal. Often I have them send me a couple sample shots of the type of image they like. At the shoot I will show them the images on my camera LCD, and if they would like, after we can sit down and review the ones they like on a computer screen. When shooting a large project with a team, I will shoot tethered to a computer so the Art Director can review while we are in the process of shooting.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I've been a photographer for more than a decade. I was trained in photojournalism in university and I bring that storytelling style to a lot of my commercial and editorial projects.
