FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My rates are very reasonable and affordable, and they are based on the length of the lesson. I offer 50% off the first trial lesson.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I try and find out everything I can about the customer and tell them a little about myself so that they feel comfortable walking into the first lesson. I like to hear about what motivated them to want to take lessons, what they are looking to accomplish by taking lessons, short/long term goals, etc. I give lessons once a week, although a few of my students request lessons twice a week.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I started out on the double bass when I was very young, but soon became attracted to the bass guitar. I was never forced into it, and I was always very motivated to learn on my own. I've developed my own technique over the years that I have found to be effective not just for me, but also for my students. I guess I've never really considered it to be "work," although I do believe that hard work is a lot of what goes into becoming good at what you do.
