We held back two promising puppies from My GSD's last litter. As that put us at five dogs, we asked Erik Hall of Valhalla K9 to take the four month old female and continue her socialization and begin foundation work for IPO. This can be a tricky task, because Erik needed to make sure that his training techniques and commands were consistent with the ones we would use if we decided that she was the keeper. Moreover, the training must have just enough structure to teach, but not kill the the dog's natural joy. A very light touch is required. Throughout the four months that he had her, Erik sent videos and consulted frequently. He brought her for joint training sessions every few weeks to insure that we were all on the same page. She is back home now and we have made the difficult decision to keep her and let the male go. Fortunately, Erik took great care to train her in "our style" and the transition back to my husband's handling has been without conflict or confusion. Whether training a dog for competition or as a pet, the training must transfer over to the dog's home environment. Erik does an exceptional job with this. Our girl is on the correct path for both - a dog who loves to work and be with people. Erik did a fantastic job.

Eric came to the rescue when I adopted Sophie. I'd had a great dog before who never required any training but Sophie, she was born to test boundaries and do anything to get attention!! The first visit with Eric was only a half hour but he showed me a little training game that would tire her out so I could get a little break. He beloved in being strict but never anything that would hurt the pup. Eric genuinely loves dogs!! When sophir was old enough and had all her shots she could then go to doggie daycare where Eric could do some training everyday. If your dog is hard to handle like Sophie was, I highly recommend Eric!

I am currently running a special on my pricing in order to build reviews as I grow my business. Every dog is different though, and even discounted pricing will vary from dog to dog.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I will meet prospective client and their dog to discuss their goals, and how to get there.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a certified service dog trainer, and have been training dogs since I was 5. I am currently going through a professional dog training course to further my abilities and learn new methods and techniques to train.
