Introduction: I am passionate about inspiring and motivating others. I have inspired results as drastic as one student who came in with so many injuries that he couldn't sit still comfortably. Now he can sit comfortably and even hold crow pose for minutes.
Obviously, the goals and results for everyone will be different, and you don't need a goal like this to start practicing. Just showing up to practice is what matters. I don't ask anyone to try crazy poses if their bodies won't let them. I cater each private session and group class I teach to the needs of my students, and I place a large focus on breath work and relaxation.
I am trained in hatha yoga (alignment-based, traditional yoga), and I can also teach vinyasa (flow) or power yoga (most challenging). My main priority is proper alignment and safety.
I am happiest when instructing beginners or those with a physical disability or injury because they are the ones who see the greatest improvement, but I love teaching advanced practitioners since there is always something new to learn.
I was a competitive athlete through college, and my style emphasizes the exact opposite of that--the less you push, the more you benefit.
I am certified through the Yoga Alliance as a 200 Hour Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT).
