Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: I am passionate about inspiring and motivating others. I have inspired results as drastic as one student who came in with so many injuries that he couldn't sit still comfortably. Now he can sit comfortably and even hold crow pose for minutes. Obviously, the goals and results for everyone will be different, and you don't need a goal like this to start practicing. Just showing up to practice is what matters. I don't ask anyone to try crazy poses if their bodies won't let them. I cater each private session and group class I teach to the needs of my students, and I place a large focus on breath work and relaxation. I am trained in hatha yoga (alignment-based, traditional yoga), and I can also teach vinyasa (flow) or power yoga (most challenging). My main priority is proper alignment and safety. I am happiest when instructing beginners or those with a physical disability or injury because they are the ones who see the greatest improvement, but I love teaching advanced practitioners since there is always something new to learn. I was a competitive athlete through college, and my style emphasizes the exact opposite of that--the less you push, the more you benefit. I am certified through the Yoga Alliance as a 200 Hour Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT).

For the last 3 years, I have attended Emily's yoga classes, and I keep coming back because Emily teaches with such ease, composure, and knowledge. It was under Emily's guidance that I discovered the benefits of yoga. In a relaxed and light hearted style, Emily teaches classes that are a perfect combination of challenging and accessible. She is incredibly positive which is wonderful in those particularly humbling yoga moments. She is knowledgable about pose adjustments and how to adjust based on the students individual needs. I have benefited from Emily's knowledge and understanding of yoga, as I have seen my practice flourish with her committed assistance. I truly love that after many years of practicing with her, I find myself learning new things and developing each week. I particularly enjoy her guided meditation and have incorporated many of her words into my own meditation practice. Emily's class has become a part of my weekly routine, because I know I will walk out feeling energized, balanced, and powerful.

Emily teaches a slow deep breathing restorative yoga that is an intense and strength building as you want it to be. As a student of hers I learned to strengthen my core mind and body impacting all areas of my life . Yoga with Emily has helped me recover from several major injuries and improved my abilities in my snowboarding, biking, motorcycle riding, and made it easier to learn new skills. Through my practice with her, I have developed my fine muscle control, improved my posture, increased my stamina, and I even crash less! I had taken several yoga classes with different instructors, with different friends, in different styles, and none of them felt as natural and intuitive as when I first took a class with Emily. Yoga is now an important part of my life and while I certainly don't practice enough on my own, I have the confidence and the abilities to enjoy any new class and to continue moving forward through life with each breathe I take.

She is an amazing teacher! Very energetic and helpful, and she doesn't hesitate to correct when I'm doing something wrong. She also explains everything clearly so you can understand why some movements are important! Love her!
