Introduction: My teaching experience in Philadelphia has also enriched my studies and development as a musician. I am an active chamber coach and orchestral player working alongside prominent Philadelphia musicians such as Glen Fischbach, Aaron Picht, and Marvin Moon, in Temple University’s musical prep school. I am also a teacher in a Main Line studio called Leading Tone Lessons LLC, with which I maintain a studio of 4 violin, viola, and piano students.
In Wichita, Kansas, I studied my master of music with the violist of the Grammy-nominated St. Petersburg String Quartet, Boris Vayner. During my two years, I was a section violist in the Wichita Symphony Orchestra, a professional orchestra lead by Maestro Daniel Hege. Additionally, I served as principal viola in a chamber group called Suprima Chamber Orchestra, conducted by Boris Vayner. During my years in Kansas, I also played in the Wichita Grand Opera, which allowed me to learn many of the greatest opera compositions. I won several awards in Wichita in the surrounding region, including first prize in the Wolff-Bing Chamber Music competition, and third prize in the Arapahoe Concerto Competition in Colorado. Most recently, I had the fantastic opportunity to lead the viola section in the Silk Road Symphony Orchestra in Berlin, Germany. This orchestra is composed of musicians from around the world, bringing together diversity and the universal language of music.
I enjoy exploring my students' learning patterns and which approach is most effective to produce the best results.
I always say that during my lessons I also learn something!
