FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Pricing right now is flexible. During the initial consultation, I will get a clear idea of the scope of work that is needed to be done, and in said time frame. I can then offer a more detailed budget, and fees based on the project(s) at hand. Because I am building my portfolio, my services and fees are competitive and flexible, but quality is always my number one priority. I am very detail oriented, and will edit for content, grammar, punctuation, and tone. With a background in poetry, I am a wordsmith at heart: I will find the perfect words to highlight the content at hand, and will scan the work with a fine tooth comb.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
My process is to either sit down with my client, or schedule a consultation over the phone to establish project goals, budget(s), and timeline. If the client is unsure of goals, I offer a brainstorming session that will help the client pinpoint his/her ultimate goal so we can tailor work accordingly. If my client needs other contacts, such as a web developer, SEO expert, or additional resources, I can provide those in a timely manner. During our first consultation I will assess the amount of time that is needed for the work presented, and if our goals are mutual and I am confident that I can deliver set goals, we will create a timeline for the project(s). Oftentimes projects and timelines can shift. Constant communication is essential in such cases, to ensure my client is happy and that goals are being reached.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I hold Creative Writing and Dance degrees from Arizona State University. I spent six years honing my craft in Creative Writing at Scottsdale Community College, The University of Arizona, and eventually at Arizona State, where I earned my degree with honors in 2005. I have worked for Scottsdale Center for the Arts, creating written content for Artists in Residences, won multiple awards in poetry and non-fiction, and most recently have been writing viral content for social media through Playbuzz. My current client, an Interior Designer in Phoenix, is launching her website shortly. All content was written and approved by myself, and will be available in my portfolio shortly. I am fluent in Microsoft Word, and have a background in Photography and the visual arts as well. This is an asset to my clients, because I can offer creative and engaging visual content coupled with writing/advertising to insert into blogs and social media platforms.
