What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We teach 4-hour seminars and teach through two community education departments.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We take into account the customer needs and interests. We do not try to "sell" you anything.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Bachelor's, Master's and Doctorate degree. We have certified level 2, 4, & 7 CKM instructors on staff.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I started in martial arts at age 17. Since that time, I have watched friends and others around me become injured from fights, being robbed, attacked, and bullied. I began to study Commando Krav Maga in an effort to teach people self defense techniques to better defend themselves in daily life.
As a Court Officer in Michigan, I have trained security officers, law enforcement, members of the military, and regular citizens the techniques of CKM. I have further expanded my teaching to include holders of the Michigan Concealed Pistol License. This gives CPL holders additional options other than deadly force.
What types of customers have you worked with?
Women, children, men, Law Enforcement, Military, professional security, bodyguards, etc.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Make sure the self-defense system is reality based, not a martial art (unless that is what you want).
What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
Can I participate in the class with medical issues or injuries? Is any part of the class geared for women? Do I need special equipment? Are there any additional fees involved?
