I did a private ballroom dance lesson with my husband on our honeymoon in Clearwater, FL. The class was excellent and the studio was a good space. The dance instructor (Jessica?) worked well to meet us where we were at and teach to us in styles we would understand. We ended up getting the basic steps of Waltz, Foxtrot, Rumba, and East Coast Swing in just one lesson. I also really liked their class set up with private lessons, group lessons and parties every week at all levels and many styles of dance. If I were local, I would probable spend a lot more time there. What very strongly turned me off from Bayou dance club, was the sales aspect. They give you the first lesson free and then sit you down for twenty minutes and explain these sales packages for their classes and pressure you to buy them. It felt like I was being pressured to buy a time share. I did not like that model at all. We were only in the area for a week, but if they hadn't pressured us so much to buy these packages, we certainly would have been happy to pay for our first lesson (first one is free) and buy a couple more private lessons and maybe go a group lesson or two just the week we were there. With the quality of instruction, we would have been happy to put a few hundred dollars into them while we were there, but the sales aspect was so extreme that we didn't want to go back.

Dear Alyssa, I just returned from traveling and received your review of our dance studio. I am sorry you felt so pressured into buying some lessons. We have so many options and your teacher expressed how well you picked up the information on your lesson. I just wanted you to have all the facts to make the best decision for yourselves. We were excited to see a young couple having so much fun learning and we would have liked to have had you be a part of our studio. I didn't realize you were in town only for such a short time otherwise I would have limited the number of options to fit in your timeline, if you wanted to continue on. I hope you will try a studio in your area because you really did do very well and if in the future you come back to this area, I hope you will visit us. Sincerely Letizia Di Carlo

We are getting individual dance lessons for our wedding in May. It has been a lot of fun for my Fiance and me. We still have 3 classes to go and looking forward to them.
